This policy sets out what data we collect when you browse our Canadian casino reviews, how we use it, and the rights PIPEDA gives you as a reader in Canada. Short version: analytics, server logs, three narrow cookies, and nothing sold to advertisers.
Privacy Policy — Luxury Casino Canada Reviews
Who We Are
luxury-casinos.ca is an independent editorial publication that reviews online casinos available to Canadian players. We are a publisher, not an operator: we do not run games, accept deposits, hold customer balances, or pay winnings. Our role is to test, document, and score licensed offshore casinos so Canadian readers can decide where to play. The publication is operated by LCC Editorial Inc, a Toronto-based editorial company. All product accounts, wagers, and withdrawals belong to the licensed operator you choose to sign up with, not to us. See our Luxury Casino Canada editorial index for the full catalogue of reviews.
What Data We Collect
We collect the minimum information required to run a review site and understand how readers use it. That falls into five buckets:
- Analytics data through Google Analytics 4 with IP-anonymization enabled: pages visited, referrer, approximate country/region, session duration, device type.
- Server logs retained by our host: IP address, user-agent string, request URL, timestamp, HTTP status. These are standard access logs used for uptime and abuse investigation.
- Cookies: a session cookie for site navigation, a preference cookie for theme/language, and analytics cookies described below.
- Affiliate click tracking: when you click a CTA to a reviewed operator, the outbound URL carries a campaign identifier so the operator can attribute the referral back to us. We do not receive your name, email, or account details from the operator.
- Contact form submissions: any email address and message you voluntarily send via our privacy contact form.
How We Use Your Data
The data above is used only for editorial and operational purposes. Analytics tells us which reviews readers find useful, which pages load slowly, and where our navigation confuses people, and that feedback shapes the next round of edits. Server logs help us spot scraping, credential-stuffing attempts, and other abuse. Affiliate click identifiers exist so partner operators can pay us the right commission for real referrals; that is how independent review sites stay funded. Contact-form data is used only to reply to your enquiry. We do not sell reader data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use three narrow cookie categories. Session cookies are strictly necessary — they keep your navigation state during a visit and expire when you close the browser. Preference cookies remember interface choices such as light/dark theme and language selection so the site does not reset every time you return. Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics 4 with IP-anonymization turned on and advertising features turned off; they help us count unique readers and measure page performance without identifying you individually. We do not run third-party remarketing pixels, ad-tech retargeting scripts, or social-media tracking beacons. Our cookie banner lets you decline analytics cookies on first visit, and you can revoke consent any time through the footer link. Blocking cookies through your browser settings will not break the review content, though preferences will not persist between sessions. See related notes on game session privacy for what operator sites may set once you leave ours.
Third-Party Services
Three third parties process limited data on our behalf. Google Analytics 4 receives anonymized event data as described above; Google is a data processor with published PIPEDA-compatible safeguards. Cloudflare sits in front of our origin as a CDN and DDoS shield — it terminates TLS, caches static assets, and inspects requests for abusive patterns; its logs contain IP addresses and request metadata. The operator affiliate tracker at adminclick.org receives your click only after you press a CTA button and leave our site. Once you register with the operator, the operator's own privacy policy governs everything that follows — including signup data collection and banking transaction privacy.
PIPEDA Compliance & Your Rights
Because we are established in Canada and publish for Canadian readers, our processing of personal information is governed by the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), not the European GDPR. Under PIPEDA you have the right to (a) ask what personal information we hold about you, (b) request correction of inaccurate data, (c) request deletion of data we no longer need, and (d) withdraw consent for analytics processing. Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission licensing applies to individual operators we review — it does not extend jurisdiction over this editorial site. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We acknowledge requests within five business days and complete them within 30 days, per PIPEDA guidance. Editorial correction requests are handled to David Reynolds editorial standards.
Data Retention
Retention windows are kept short and purpose-bound. Raw server access logs are stored for 90 days and then purged. Google Analytics event data is retained for 26 months, which is the GA4 default and matches our year-over-year reporting cycle. Contact-form submissions are held until the enquiry is resolved plus 12 months for reference in case you write back on the same thread. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be retained longer for editorial planning.
Children & Age Restriction
Our reviews cover regulated real-money gambling and are intended solely for adult readers who have reached the legal age of majority in their province — 19 in most provinces and territories, 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under those ages. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our contact form, notify [email protected] and we will delete it on receipt.
Changes to This Policy
We revise this policy when tools, retention windows, or PIPEDA guidance change. Material changes will be summarised at the top of the page and reflected in the "Effective" date. We recommend reviewing this page annually. Continued use of luxury-casinos.ca after a policy update indicates acceptance of the revised terms; if you disagree with a change, please stop using the site and email us to have any voluntarily submitted data erased.
Contact for Privacy Requests
For any access, correction, deletion, or consent-withdrawal request, write to [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request" and a clear description of what you need. We respond within 30 calendar days as PIPEDA requires, and usually much faster. Read this alongside our legal terms companion, and note that separate privacy considerations exist for our app privacy considerations, login session data, VIP data handling, and high-roller data privacy pages.
